My funky girls

Singing and signing "Itsy Bitsy Spider", their current favorite song.

Don't you just want to pinch those cheeks?!? I do...

Songs they have learned:

abc
do re mi
Happy birthday
Twinkle twinkle
london bridge is falling down
little mermaid
Jingle bell
itsy bitsy spider
I am a teapot
Two tigers

Whew...thought it was gonna be a short list and it just went on...
I asked Kari today to tell her teddy bears a story. She lined them up in front of her, stood up, and started singing little mermaid, "AH AH AH..... AH AH AH....." She sang seriously, as if she was telling a story. She likes the story "Cinderella" too! She's say, "no more mommy..." If you eat something with her, she'd ask, "Do you like it?!" And she's been checking on her teddies periodically and asking them, "What's wrong? Are you okay??" She'd locked her little pink teddy bear in the bathroom for poor behavior! Next thing you know, she tells me, "Mommy! YOU-- TIME OUT!"

Kari knew how to spell milk half a year ago. She'd say, M-I-L-K...."MILK"!!
Kayla recently discovered spelling as well. She says, M-L-K...MILK!
Past few weeks the spelling has evolved. Our conversation goes like this:

Daddy: What is your name???
Kayla: M-I-L-K... KAYLA!!! Fu...EN...EN... (恩恩)

That is who she thinks she is...

I love you more and more each day.

Fun at the Garden

A trip to the snow became just another failed attempt, leaving Mommy with a car full of jackets, boots, scarfs, mittens, and a set of lost keys... Frantically looking, I muttered, "Oh no... I lost my key...where is it...oh no..."

Little Kari walked over, and padded my leg reassuringly. "Mommy, It's okay! Mei mei will help you look for it!" Then she started looking all around the car. Oh I just adore...

At the very least we went to the garden with Ama and Agon. The girls had such a great time with the ants and squirrels... Frightened, but still had so much fun.
