Potty Training Mommy

Kayla and Kari started, although not seriously, potty training.

More accurately, the sentence should read: Kayla and Kari started potty training Mommy.

Two little cheerleaders would rush to the door as I sit.
"GO GO Mommy! 加油! 用力!" They close their fist tight, stick out the buttocks, and squeeze their face together with an agonizing expression.

Today while Kayla cheered, Kari disappeared, "Mei Mei get the ipad for you okay Mommy?!"

She couldn't find it. Afraid she'd find it, I rushed, "Mei mei come back!!! HURRY!"

"OKAY Mommy. Be right back" Then she suddenly appeared with a little book in her hand. She set it on the floor the way her Daddy always set the ipad for her, opened it, and said, "There you go, Mommy. Now you can read."

That is probably the only time she'll get me to read.

Gate to Paradise

Today was a good day. Sunny and hot, and the girls had a great time playing outside on their tricycles. I opened the back gate to the paradise outside of the house while doing chores. As soon as I turned around, the two had raced forward and came to a sudden halt in front of the open gate. Kayla paused looking curiously outside. She had no plans of proceeding forward. Kari looked out, and looked at Kayla.

"GO ON!" she said, "go right out, Kayla"
"NO no no no.... Don't," said Mommy, blocking the exit to Paradise, "媽米說不可以!(MOMMY SAID NO)"

Pause.

Insisted Kari, "但是妹妹說可以呀!(But KARI SAID YES)"
Go on Kayla...

Kayla remained frozen in space. To go ...or not to go....
Wow, there seem to be two commanders of the house as of now.

Waiting

Patiently waiting outside of Sumi grandma's house. They each packed their favorite toys in the suitcase this morning themselves.

Inside Kayla's little suitcase: 超虎
Inside Kari's suitcase: a baby mini baseball book and a tiny little baby doll. They were so excited to take them on a trip!

Playing at grandma's house-- One minute they're beating up each other, and the next you see them holding hands laughing and running across the whole house. It makes Akio grandpa laugh so hard!
