Christmas and Santa

Kayla happily went to bed in anticipation of Santa's visit.  She was content, for she had been a good girl all year... Or at least she thought.

Kari contemplated if she had been a good girl, or if Santa would really visit.

"Why does Santa come when I go to sleep? And not when I am awake?" She asked.

"Why does Santa come down the chimney? Isn't it just easier through the door?"

"Oh yes, but make sure you lock all the doors on both sides of the house Mommy, just in case the big bad wolf comes at night... Don't forget!!"

Santa came at last, while the girls were sound asleep....  They got so much presents in the morning!  Happiest Christmas ever, with all the princesses they got from Uncle and Auntie, and all the teddy bears and candy from Santa.

"Will Santa come again tomorrow?" Kari asked.  She really wanted to come home, because she thought that Santa would likely come again...

She wanted to go check under the tree.  All of a sudden, I feel that a year is such a long time to wait for another Christmas to come...

                                                                     Happy Holidays!

Minnie Mouse

Kari the Minnie Mouse

Although there were many on this Disney cruise, she is the cutest one in my eyes.... besides the other one I have.

Cabo San Lucas

The boat is wavering from side to side with the strong ocean wave in Cabo San Lucas, but the girls feel so safe in the arms of their dad holding on to them with all his love.   Winter in LA, but we find summer in Cabo.  I want to spend my winter there...

Cinderella

"Hi, Cinderella,  I am Cinderella too..."Kayla would whisper, a little confused why there were so many around on this Disney cruise.   She never stays still for a photo anymore.  She went hiding behind that door.  Then she peeked out curiously for that one split second looking for me, looking like a true princess.  She looks as if she's been standing there forever waiting for this photo...

I hope you never lose that innocence in your eyes...

The Story of "Kayla and the French Fry"

One beautiful day out at Sea on the Disney Wonder in Mexico, Minnie Mouse Kayla met a beautiful golden French Fry...

Gonna eat this fry... But let's honor it first!  It's a beauty...

**music begins...**
There's something sweet
And certainly oily
But it was salty and it was coarse and unrefined
But now it's near, and so magnified
I wonder why I didn't see it there before

There may be something there that wasn't there before ...
duh..duh..duh duh..

It's slowly coming closer...Gonna eat it...

Oh oh.. It is officially going in my mouth!!!

                                   這是什麼情況?!   What is that claw?

Ate it!!  You too late, AHA!

                             Dear Claw hand,
did you have a problem with me eating that fry?
Cuz you know.. I'm gonna eat one more...
                             and more...
                             and more.....

So the love affair begins, between Kayla and the French Fries...
And they all live happily ever after, in her tummy.
The End.

And did I mention... Very Happily Ever After?!

Love you, my baby girl. xoxo.

A princess' Dream

A family vacation, finally. Thank you Daddy.
Thinking..about that mango ice cream cone...
Still waiting...now I am getting very suspicious that the promised mango ice cream is never gonna come...

whoa...the two stayed still, together, both facing forward, for a generous second?!
Giggling and laughing long after Minnie Mouse left the scene, Kari said, "Minnie was sooo funny....she kissed my cheek with her nose..."

That's what I call "living THE life"... Breakfast on the balcony facing the vast moving ocean,
Kari wonders on Disney Wonder, "are the houses across the ocean moving? Or...are we in a house that's moving?"
Always will be, Daddy's girl.

Lights Lights Lights! It's a Small and *Beautiful* World

Disney at Christmas 2012.  The happiest place on earth.

Poor little girls had their four year big checkup.  Five shots of immunization left them crying in pain.  Kari looked at me unforgivingly as she sobbed for long after the nurse was gone.  Disneyland was their consolation. Even if it couldn't take away the pain, at least it slipped in some thoughts of happiness enough to crack smile!

For the first time both stayed awake for the spectacular holiday firework.  Kayla handed the only juice left to Kari, and proudly patted her own back, "Kayla cares for Kari so much... (姊姊好疼妹妹哦)"

At the Merry-Go-Round, Kari really wanted me to ride the pony next to her.  She gave me her signature "be-with-me" look that I could never resist.  She gives me this look when she wants to cuddle in bed with me.  She gives me this look when I say "good-bye" to her.  She gives me this look when she wants a little love from me.  She steals more than just my heart with it, my little princess on the pony.

Two Little Tigers

Las Vegas - Mandalay Bay.  The girls enjoyed the beach waves, and visited the sharks, jellyfish, octopus, and rays.

The first trip to Circus Circus.  The rides were a little crazier than I anticipated, and definitely a lot faster than the Disneyland ones.  I expected a little fear from the little ones, but they laughed hysterically throughout.

Their also had some quiet time watching the gondola go by in Venetian.  It was serene and calming. They didn't want to leave. They danced, around the man playing the accordion in the crowd, as if there was nobody else around...

The little feet walked through New York-New York, MGM, Monte Carlo, Caesars Palace.  It concluded with a taxi ride back to the hotel.  Kari got to sit in the front for the first time, and she was just ecstatic.  Playfully she peeked at the driver next to her, and as usual, she asked if she could ride it again!

It was a fabulous trip -- the two little tigers' little cruise through the Las Vegas strip.

Grandma: Kari's Mommy, try to exercise a little...
Kari's Mommy:  Mom, I don't have a lot of time! Too busy lately...
Grandma: You can always find time for that. (時間是自己找的。。)

Kari, waving a finger at Mommy: THAT IS TRUE!! ( 没错!)

Little Witch and her Ladybug's Happy Halloween

The sweet little witch seems to reign the earth
as she treads steadily behind the cheerful little ladybug.
"DON'T WALK on the grass," she commands
loudly and firmly to her grandma caught on the grass.
"DON'T you walk on the grass again!!"

We thought she'd fly away with the broomstick in her hand,
but strangely she's singing and sweeping around like a happy little maid.
"Clean up everybody...brush your teeth..." she chants.

"Ooo...the skeleton...  Ohhhh the scarecrow... OH CANDY!!!!!!"
"Can we just go to one more?!?!"
Jumping and hopping down the street, they are
enchanted with encounters of Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and even Bat Man!
The STORY BOOK has come alive with all of their favorite characters.

"I just LOVE Halloween!!!"
little ladybug loudly declares.
Another voice echos, "DON'T-WALK-ON-THE-GRASS !!!"
From one house to another, they NEVER want this night to end.

Pumpkin Patch

It was time again for our annual pumpkin patch visit.   The girls loved the rides and the patting zoo so much.  Kayla wanted to take home baby pumpkins to treasure.  After having a blast with three rides, it was time to go home.   Reluctant to leave, Kari expressed her wish for more rides to her Daddy.

Papa said, "But you already had three rides!! That's a lot!!"
Protested Little Kari, "Three is not a lot!   A hundred is a lot!!"

True...true...

Don't worry little baby, we'll go again!

That's a funny name...

Kari holding a package of candy, "Mommy, what is this called?"

Mommy busy getting ready to leave the house replied in a rush, "It's...WHERE DID YOU TAKE THAT?!?!"

Kari happily ran off to Kayla, "Sister! Mommy said that this is called "weredidu-tictac"!!! That's a funny name...hahaha..."  Kayla and Kari had a good laugh on that one.

Lemonade stand

Faithfully standing behind their stand, the girls never got bored waiting for their customers to come.

"Would you like to buy something?" they'd ask.
"Well hurry up and come in, or we're about to close!" Kari would yell.

"What have you got for breakfast today?" I asked.

Kari graciously replied, "Cockroaches! We got lots and lots of cockroaches!"

Mommy confused.

Kari insisted, "They are good! You should try it!"

Mommy, "well...how much for that and a cup of lemonade?"

Kayla replied quickly, "One hundred dollars!"

They got to work! Chopping, squeezing the lemonade, and dropping everything on the way to serving the customer.  They were even sanitary enough to wash the dropped food before serving again.

Kari rushed over and grabbed the menu she handed to me earlier, "Give me my menu back, I have to pay for this...!!"  Quickly she stuck it back to her menu holder.  "Have a great day!" she yelled out,
"and come back again soon!"

FIVE stars. I give them FIVE stars!

The next day I woke up and went downstairs, Kayla and Kari were still standing behind the lemonade stand!  They got up early to get everything ready for business!

This is where I got the cutest little lemonade stand that I adore so much!  I am looking forward to years of play time and fun for the girls with this one...

Ramblings, deep thinking

Confucius - "Do unto others what you want done unto you."

While Mommy and Daddy enjoy a little TV time before bedtime...
Mommy said to Kari, "Go to sleep Kari!"
Kari replied, "You  to to sleep too Mommy!"
Mommy to Kari, "Don't watch TV Kari!"
Kari quickly responded, "Neither should you!"

DUH obviously

Mommy, looking around and then at the naked babies in front of her before bath time, and said, "where are all the dirty clothes you girls took off?"
Kayla stopped and said, "LAUNDRY!"

LOL, my quick learners.

Fly like a bird

During Daddy's visit to Memphis TN, Mommy told the girls that Daddy flew there for a meeting.
Kari asked, "Daddy is flying in the tree, like a bird, in Memphis?"

Learning to appreciate

Susie Auntie kindly brought Cinderella and Ariel Toothbrushes for the girls, and graciously Kari replied, "Thank you Susi ahi for the Cinderella and Ariel tooghbrushes, but I thought you were going to bring us sleeping beauty ones too!"

Love between the sisters

The cutest moment--  when Kari picked up the ice bag and carefully pressed it on kayla's head while she had a fever.  She held it there for so long, tender moment captured.

Merry X'mas

Kayla and Kari had a very merry X'mas this year. They had fun at the "hospital X'mas party" that they couldn't stop talking about. They sat on Santa's lap and got some cutest Santa puppies as presents. They got to decorate the tree this year. Santa Clause also came while they were sleeping to leave bags of candy in their stockings!!! They sang (Kari posed) Christmas Carols again this year... Can't wait for the next Christmas to come again.
Mommy: Where did Santa Clause get your presents from, Kari? The North Pole?????? Kari laughed and replied: No....from Walmart!!!
